About Yucca Plant: Yucca is one of the best indoor and outdoor plants. The Yucca plant is a perennial plant. The Yucca plant is seen in many houses, offices, and even the kitchen; this plant is watch. This plant needs minimum care and sunlight. The yucca plant has at least 40 species, and many varieties are available.

Its scientific name is Yucca, and it belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It also has a sub-family name is, Agavoideae; it is related to the agave spp family.

The yucca plant grows very slowly, and its height increases from 2 feet to 4 feet, spread up to 2 feet. Another variety grows up to 15 to 25 feet. The leaves of this plant are green and yellowish. This Means the centre part of these leaves is green, and the margins of these leaves are yellow. Every leaf has an edgy tip. Over time leaves grow up to 15 inches to 25 inches. Every leaf has lots of moisturizers. So this plant needs less water.

How to Plant Yucca

There are two ways to grow a yucca plant, one is from the seed, and the other is by cutting the yucca plant. In this post, we will know the cutting method.

To grow the yucca plant from cutting, cut the yucca plant from a place where there is a thick stalk. Cut the yucca plant only after growing 2 feet. Now prepare the soil for this plant.

To make soil, you should take 50% garden soil (soil pH 5.5 to 7), 50% coco-peat, or cow dung. Now mix it well. You can buy online coco-peat or cow dung at the best price. Now add the yucca cutting into the water for 15 minutes. Putting it in water brings moisture to the stalk, and this cutting begins to grow quickly.

Size of Flower Pot: To grow this cutting take at least 20-inch flower pots because these cuttings make the roots, and this root grows more. And this cutting spread up to 2 feet. Now fill this pot with soil 70% and make a hole of 10 inches in this soil, and put the cut into this hole. After all, it keeps the pot in the full sunlight. This cutting start is growing after 4 to 5 weeks.

Remember: Make 6, 5 holes on the base of the flower pot so that there is no collect water in the soil and the roots of this plant should not be rotten.

5 Tips to Grow Yucca Plant / Care

  • Watering: If you plant this yucca in winter, then give less water, and do not give more water during the summer season. While giving water, remember that the soil should be completely dry because this plant has a lot of moisture, so this plant survives easily in a place like the desert.
  • Temperature:  The yucca plant is an indoor and outdoor plant, so you can keep this plant anywhere, such as on the balcony, inside a home, terrace, or in the garden. Most people observe this plant in full sunlight (15°C to 40°C).
  • Best Fertilizer: Talking about good fertilizer, you have to add liquid fertilizer to it. Always fertilize this plant after two months.
  • Pests & Diseases: There are no insects in the plants; if scale insects and fungus occur, don’t forget to spray medicine. Most of the time, the fungus occurs in the leaf, which is a brown spot type.
  • Pruning & Cutting: Prune this plant if you see dry leaves, unwanted stalk, and unwanted edgy cuts. You can prune this plant in early spring; this plant starts to grow after the spring season.
