Balsam Seeds

Balsam plants are easily found in many homes, gardens, and offices because it is a popular flowering plant and during the flowering season it blooms many types of flowers like red, purple, pink, white, and bi-colour. Flower colours depend on the variety of balsam plants.

Balsam seeds easily germinate with the garden soil, coco-peat, and decomposed cow dung. Seeds easily germinate in any season but during the rainy season, they germinate fast (within 5 to 7 days).

Physical Information: Seeds are small with a round shape and similar to mustard seeds. Flowers has 4 to 6 petals with a heart shape and it is similar to rose moss flower. The colour of the centre part is dark similar to the flower colour. Leaves are light to dark green with a serrate shape. Midribs are light white and veins are green in colour. Balsam plants grow up to 2 to 3 feet tall with spread up to 1 foot wide.

Best Location: Most people plant balsam plants in their halls and balconies.

Zinnia Plant

Zinnia is one of the best flowering plants due to its different types of flowering shapes like single layer, double layer, and semi layer shapes. It has many verities but the most popular verity is common zinnia and desert zinnia. Zinnia seeds are thin (up to 10mm long) and similar to flax seeds or sunflower seeds. Zinnia belongs to the Asteraceae family.

The best time for seedlings is monsoon season and you can plant its seeds with normal garden soil, sand with vermicompost. Plant the seeds 2 inches deep into the soil potting. For the best result, you can use a clay flowerpot with good drainage holes.

Physical Info: Different types of flowers bloom on the plants like purple, pink, red, white, and multicolour. Each flower has lots of petals in a round shape. The Center part of the flowers is different in colour. Most of the verities grow up to 10 to 12 inches tall and other verities are growing up to 4 feet tall. Leaves are round with heart shape and sizes grow up to 2 to 3 inches.

Hibiscus Plant Seeds

One of the most popular flowering plants and it is easily seen in many houses and gardens. In the flowering season, it blooms large and healthy flowers like red, pink, and white. Flower colours are depending on the verities. Most popular verities like native, hardy, tropical, and annual hibiscus. Hibiscus plants are also known as Gudhal plant or it belongs to the Malvaceae family.

We have different types of methods for plantation like using seeds, cuttings, and grafting. You can plant hibiscus by using seeds with normal garden soil with any compost. Within 5 to 6 days, germination starts from the seeds. Cutting is the best method for germination because cutting has leaves and branches.

Over time, plants grow up to 4 to 5 feet tall and spread up to 2 feet wide. During the rainy season, it grows fast and blooms many flowers at once.

Champa Flower Plant

Mogra or Chameli

Mogra, Chameli, Arabian jasmine, and sambar jasmine are the same so don’t confuse them with the name. Chameli is one of the best flowering plants in the family of Oleaceae. Flowers give an awesome fragrant smell. It is easily seen in many homes, gardens, and offices.

At a time it blooms lots of flowers and the flowers give you a fragrant smell. You can plant chameli by using seeds and during the rainy season, germination is fast. Monsoon is the best time for blooming and the flowers are many colours like white, white with yellow, and white with red.

Best Caring Tips: Banana peel fertilizer and home-based compost is the best fertilizer for chameli plants.

Cockscomb Plant

Cockscomb Plant: It is also known as plume celosia. Cockscomb comes with many verities like red cockscomb, silver, celosia flower, plumed, celosia cristata…etc. during the flowering season, it blooms different types of flowers like golden shade, yellow, red, peach, and purple. Cockscomb plants grow up to 1 foot tall with spread up to 5 to 6 inches wide.

Cockscomb needs minimum caring like less watering, more sunlight, and less fertilizer. During the rainy season, seed germination is fast and within 2 months flowering starts from the plants. Flowers are straight with different colours.

Buying Tips: Always buy hybrid and fresh seeds. Seeds are similar to mustard seeds.
