About Orange: Orange is of the best succulent fruit. Orange contains many proteins and vitamins like A, D, C, and B-6. 100 gm oranges have 47 calories, and Orange has many benefits for your health. Oranges are larger in size and grow up to 3 to 5 inches with a round shape. The scientific name of Orange is Citrus X Sinensis, and it comes with the Rutaceae family.

How to Plant Seeds at Home: One of the best methods to plant is by using seeds, and there is no option to grow orange plants by using cutting. Please take out the ripe orange and remove its seeds. Remove the pulpy layer from the seeds and put it in water for 2 to 3 hours.

How to Make Best Soil Potting & Planting

For making a soil mixture, take well-drained garden soil (40%), vermicompost (30%), and river sand (30%). River sand is necessary for the best result. Mix it well and take out a small flowerpot (use a clay pot with a size of 3 to 4 inches). Fill the soil mixture into a flowerpot (80%). Please take out the seeds and put them on the soil. Push the seeds with your hand and cover the seeds with the soil mixture. Give water properly and keep the pots in an indoor location (before germination).

The alternative way for making soil potting: Take out the coco peat with garden soil and plant the seeds directly, and it takes lots of time for germination.

Germination starts from the seeds after 20 to 22 days. After sprouting, small leaves (2 to 3 leaves with the size of 5 to 8 mm) and branches (1 to 3 inches) appear from the plants. Before transplantation, keep the plants in an indoor location.

Remember: Distance between the seeds should be 2 to 3 cm from another seed. USDA hardiness zone should be 8 to 11. In a flowerpot, make sure drainage holes are available or not. If there are no holes in the surface, then make 5 to 8 holes (Drainage holes are necessary). Cover the holes with a grenade or stones. For best results use a clay pot.

How to Transplant: Transplant the plants after 70 to 80 days with a separate flowerpot. Transplantation is necessary for the best result. Take out the garden soil with cow dung or vermicompost for soil mixture. If there are any small stones and pebbles in the garden’s soil, remove them.

Watering: Before watering, always check the top layer of soil potting. If the top layer of the soil mixture is dry up, then give water properly. During the summer season, give water after 1 to 2 days and twice a week in the winter season. For the best result, use a water spray gun.

Temperature: Keep the plants in full sunlight during the winter season and give at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight during the summer season. Always maintain a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius for best growth. Save the plants from heavy temperatures (above 35 degrees Celsius). High-temperature causes, the leaves are dry up, and the plant withers.

Best fertilizer: For better growth of the plants, fertilize the plants after 6 to 8 weeks. Mustard cake and cow dung are the best fertilizers. After fertilization, give water properly.

Fruit Season & Harvesting Time: The fruits start growing after two months of blooming on the plant. This fruit is initially green in colour with a round shape, and the flowers are white with 5 to 6 petals. Fruit sizes grow up to 3 to 5 inches and more. Most of the varieties give fruits in the summer season.
